Wine

Novaripa is the union of great stories and humble families who for centuries have chosen to protect their ideals by preserving the tradition of the land and the cultivation of the vine. The winery was founded in 1969 as a cooperative between 20 growers. Today the agricultures are 400, covering 700 hectares of vineyards located in Abruzzo, region where the 40% of its territory is dedicated to wildlife, protected parks and where wonderful beaches join the mountain landscape in a very short distance. The determination and passion deriving from the nature of the farmer\'s work and the wisdom deriving from the long experience leads the winery to have an entrepreneurial way of making decisions: in 2018 a structural corporate renewal began with the achievement of IFS and BRC certifications, as well as an image restyling of the entire company. The results are 2.000.000 bottles that reach a worldwide distribution, with numerous accolades. Today Novaripa is seen as a benchmark for its quality in the entire region, it is a cooperative that works with the entrepreneurial spirit. Novaripa wines represent the commitment, and the sacrifice of the 400 growers that work on the field, because as they say "The grapes must be crunchy". The quality starts from GRAPES. Novaripa wines come from either indigenous grapes like: Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino and Passerina but also the most distinct aspect of the production is the challenge of Novaripa growers to create blends or monovarietal wines from international grapes grown in a land so divers in terms of terroir: Abruzzo has the biggest mountain of central and south Italy and very close is also the beach. Therefore, the high climatic excursion, the cold temperature from the mountains, the sea breeze, the mixed territory ranging from mineral to medium-textured to sandy gives to classic international grapes, like Chardonnay, Viognier a distinctive and paradoxically autochthonous taste. An Abruzzo trademark to international wines. All the wines have a brand name that describes an aspect related to the wine or to an influence on the production: Sagoma, means the silouhette of the vinyards, Agronica derives from “agros”, meaning land, field, Monatic derives from the union of Moon and Lunatic, describing the influence of the moon on the field work. Spyro is related to the history of the village where the first 20 growers had their land. Rocky Marciano Montepulciano which is a tribute to Rocky’s commitment to excellence. This wine is made from grapes of Rocky Marciano’s father native land: Ripa Teatina. The names of the wines are all born from elements that tell the wine itself: Sagoma, represents the silouhette of the vineyards, Agronica derives from "Agros", ie land, field, Monatic derives from the union of Moon and Lunatic describing the influence of the moon on the farmers activities. Spyro is linked to the history of the village of Ripa Teatina where the first 20 farmers had their land. Rocky Marciano Montepulciano is a tribute to the commitment to excellence of the great box champion and this wine is made from grapes of Rocky Marciano father’s native land: Ripa Teatina.
